”Irish American” is the 2018 duo record by Northern Minnesota musicians Teague Alexy & Erik Berry available on Consider It Correspondence Records. Berry is the mandolinist for nationally recognized bluegrass act Trampled By Turtles. Alexy is a celebrated singer/songwriter both under his own name and in the Americana group Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank. Their 2018 release features nine traditional Irish favorites and two original songs. The album features guest appearances by Trampled By Turtles fiddler Ryan Young, Nicholas David, Jillian Rae, Ian Alexy and members of Pert Near Sandstone and Pistol Whippin Party Penguins.
Irish American was recorded in Trampled By Turtles fiddle player Ryan Young’s Neon Brown studios. Ryan will be joining Erik & Teague for St Patrick’s Day weekend shows March 15 - 17.
